Electronic Locating

Most older homes have sewer lines that were buried underground and forgotten about. Well, forgotten about until it backed up on Thanksgiving, that is. What could be worse than having family over and not having a working bathroom after a big dinner? Chances are, the local rooter company gets called out and a young fellow with very little experience explains that there is no clean out to access the clogged line and that he needs to climb up on the roof to run his cable down a vent. Well, we have seen where that cable gets snarled around a big wad of roots and now that cutter head with a four-inch wad of roots on it can't be pulled back through the two-inch vent pipe it went down. Sure, your line is cleared, temporarily, but now you have to pay the guy to dig up your yard so he can try to find his cable. This situation should never happen. First, we attach an electronic transmitter onto the end of a cable and insert it into your sewer line. Then we use our electronic locator, which leads us right to the transmitter. When we have it located, we'll know the exact depth and location of your sewer line. Then we can dig it up and install a clean out, run our camera, find the problem and offer a solution so you never have to worry about it again.
Water Jet Service
Water jet cleaning is typically used to break up stubborn blockages or remove debris such as grease that has built up on the inside of the pipe. Rotary snakes open the stoppages, but because of the lack of water flow, they leave the large chunks of soap, grease and other debris in the pipes. By water jetting, not only does it open clogged sewers, but because of the high pressure coming from the jet nozzle it breaks down the soap buildup, grease and other debris into small particles. Then, because of the continuous high volume of water flow coming from the water jet, it keeps the debris flowing right out of the sewer line. TV/Video Inspections
When a major problem is suspected, remote video inspection is used to determine what the problem is and where it is located. In this process, a color camera is inserted into the pipe and directed to the problem area. By doing this, a picture of the problem is visible and is recorded for later reference. Radio locating equipment may then be used to determine the exact location of the problem area.
